Manual heat presses from Fuchs

Manual heat press

The term manual heat press refers to a press that can be opened or closed by hand. As soon as the top heating plate is moved down to the base plate, the user starts the pressing process. The press is closed exclusively with the muscle power of the user. Different mechanisms are used to maintain the pressure. Completely manual transfer presses are closed with a clamp that holds the pressure. A distinction is made between angle-opening and swivelling heating plates. In the case of angle-opening heating plates, the user should ensure that there is sufficient space between the base plate and the heating plate so that the printed material can be placed in the open press without any problems. With these presses, the contact pressure can be changed by means of an adjusting screw. This ensures that the heating plate can be moved towards or away from the base plate. Some manual transfer presses can be converted or extended. In this way, for example, optional laser pointers can be added to make the print positioning more precise.

Semi-manual heat presses

Semi-manual transfer presses are also called semi-automatic transfer presses. These presses are equipped with an electromagnet. The magnet ensures that the clamping yoke is held in position, thus maintaining the pressure. To determine the duration of the pressing process, a certain time is set. Once this time has elapsed, the transfer process is complete. The current to the electromagnet is then interrupted and the press is opened automatically. Semi-automatic or semi-manual transfer presses are suitable for medium to long runs and offer a decisive advantage: the user does not need to open the press manually. A compressor is not required either. Semi-manual presses are available in a wide variety of formats. They are available as interchangeable presses with interchangeable accessories and as versions with two printing plates.
